VILJARAS REIGAS, GINTARĖ AUKŠTIKALNYTĖ

To implement the research, an analysis of the scientific literature was performed, during which the problems of psycho-emotional work environment in the context of quality management system are systematically presented. The attitude of employees to psychoemotional relationships with managers was compared. After analyzing the data collected during the study, it was found that the process of implementing a quality management system is a long-term action in the organization, which includes not only technical aspects, but also human resource management. Employees' attitudes towards psycho-emotional relationships with managers in the context of the quality management system should be assessed through the prisms of managerial support, skills assessment, work environment, mental and physical activity.

ORGANIC ORGANISATIONS ORIENTED TOWARDS LEARNING ABOUT SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

SERGIO GARCÍA MAGARIÑO

This paper studies the new types of organizations and their management in the transition towards the knowledge society. Two holocratic management proposals are analyzed and they offer innovative productive factors, such as the learning and knowledge technologies, as well as experiences of talent development and personal and social transformation (typical of organizations with meaning and aligned with Horizon 2030 and with CSR 3.0). Also, this paper analyses two compared study cases, in different socio-cultural realities, such as ISCR in Costa Rica and ICGD in Spain. It is an attempt to systematize the proposals for organization, operation and results, offering a reference model for other organizations oriented towards the aforementioned model of knowledge and social transformation.

EXPRESSION OF SOCIAL COMPETENCE OF LITHUANIAN HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS

KRISTINA SAMAŠONOK, AGNĖ JUŠKEVIČIENĖ

Expression of social competence of students from different years of studies may differ. The aim of the research is to investigate peculiarities of social competence of students enrolled in higher education institutions in Lithuania, to identify their differences within groups of students learning in separate years of studies and to reveal interconnections between components of social competence. The strategy of quantitative research was applied. The values of social competence components within student groups of different years of studies were compared applying the Student's t-test. Using the social competence test (Ullriche, de Muynck, 1994; as cited in Lekavičienė, 2001), the students' social competence was assessed according to the scales of general self-esteem, resistance to failures and criticism, ability to express feelings, ability to ask for a favor, non-compliance, ability to demand and a sense of not feeling guilty. It was identified that the level of expression of social competence among students learning in different years of studies differs. According to the scales of ability to express feelings, ability to ask for a favour and to demand, significantly higher means of values were observed among first year students compared to the students of the second year. However, self-esteem, resistance to failures and criticism and ability to express feeling of the latter were stronger expressed compared to the fourth-year students. The comparison of expression of social competence within the years of studies revealed significantly higher means of values related to self-esteem, ability to express feelings, non-compliance and ability to demand in the group of first year students than in the group of third year students. The third-year students' ability to express feelings was higher than that of fourth year students. Stronger expressed self-confidence, resistance to failures and criticism as well as ability to express feelings were characteristic of first year students compared to fourth year ones. The correlation analysis revealed statistically significant links among all the variables of social competence, and this evidences that the students tend to possess and employ the repertoire of interrelated components of social competence.

KRISTINA SAMAŠONOK, EIMANTAS KAMIENAS, VILMA GEGUŽIENĖ, LINA ŽIRNELĖ

The article, based on the experience of Lithuanian and foreign researchers and practitioners, clarifies the relevant dimensions of creativity and its education, and theoretically substantiates the conditions and possibilities of effectiveness of creativity expression in higher education. The aim of the research: to investigate the opportunities for developing students’ creativity in higher education studies. Research methods: a quantitative method (questionnaire survey) was applied, which allowed to research the students’ attitude in assessing the opportunities created in the study process for the expression and development of creativity; the method of statistical analysis was used to process the data collected during the study. Using Student’s t criterion, the effectiveness of creativity education in the study process, applying active teaching methods and creating a creativity-friendly environment, assessment indicators and differences in two research groups were investigated and compared: 1) students studying in the study programme, which includes creativity-promoting subjects; 2) students studying in the study programme, which does not include subjects that promote the expression of creativity. The results of the research will have a practical significance in providing opportunities for improving the quality of the organization of the study process in higher education by developing students’ creativity.

KRISTINA SAMAŠONOK, VILMA GEGUŽIENĖ, EIMANTAS KAMIENAS, LINA ŽIRNELĖ

The article theoretically discusses the conditions and opportunities of entrepreneurship education in higher education and substantiates the effectiveness of the activities of Simulation Enterprise (hereinafter SE) in developing students’ entrepreneurial skills. The aim of the research: to determine the conditions and opportunities of the effectiveness of student entrepreneurship education in the activities of simulation enterprises. Analytical descriptive, quantitative and statistical research methods were applied. A comparative analysis of data obtained before and after SE training showed the effectiveness of SE in developing students’ entrepreneurship. The results of the research showed that during the internship at SE students’ technical and business management skills are not developed effectively enough. It was also found that insufficient opportunities were created for students to develop and improve their personal entrepreneurial qualities by participating in SE activities. The results of the research will have a lasting value in the scientific discussion about the possibilities of students’ entrepreneurship education in higher education studies during their participation in SE activities, and practical significance in providing opportunities for improving the quality of SE organization in the study process by developing students’ entrepreneurial skills.
